Phil greiss
If you've heard J. Balvin and Willy William’s diamond-status record “Mi Gente,” you've heard Phil Greiss’ Midas touch. Greiss recently co-wrote and co-produced the worldwide smash "Savage Love" by Jason Derulo & Jawsh685 and is the Latin Grammy award-winning music & record producer behind David Guetta & Jason Derulo’s gold record “Goodbye (feat. Nicki Minaj).”
Originally from Paris, France, he relocated to Montreal, Canada, where he honed his skill of delivering pop records and subsequently got his first taste of the radio charts (#1 general B.D.S airplay) and industry awards for his work with the Hip-Hop band L.M.D.S (Hip Hop Album Of The Year A.D.I.S.Q) back in 1997.
From 1998 to 2003, Phil produced songs for multiple established French-Canadian artists, which earned him 3 A.D.I.S.Q Nominations, 1 A.D.I.S.Q award (2000’s “Song of the Year”) and 1 SOCAN award (2000’s “Hip Hop Song of the Year”). In 2004 Phil co-produced and mixed Canadian soul singer Corneille's debut diamond-status album Parce-Qu'on Vient de Loin, after which he began to work predominantly in France with established urban, hip-hop & pop artists.
Being very hands on, he decided in 2006 to try his luck in building a project from the ground up. Between 2007 and 2012, he went on to co-write, produce & mix Zaho’s entire platinum-status and award-winning album DIMA (EMI) and her gold-status Contagieuse (Parlophone), releasing 11 singles & videos and earning multiple industry awards along the way.
Between 2013 and 2015 he went back to work with artists such as Maitre Gims (Sony), Lefa (Sony), Vianney (Warner), La Fouine (Sony), Rohff, and Kendji Girac (Universal), lending his skills as a mixer & finisher on multiple singles. This includes the 2016 winner of Song of The Year Award at France’s Victoire De La Musique, “Sapés Comme Jamais” (the most streamed French-only song in history), by Maitre Gims, along with most of his diamond-status album Mon coeur avait raison (Sony). In 2016, Greiss collaborated with long-time friend Willy William on his entire second opus, which included “Voodoo Song” (what was to become the global hit “Mi Gente”).
Phil is currently living in Los Angeles and continuing to make his mark on the pop scene in the United States. Phil has recently been in the studio with Jason Derulo, David Guetta and will.I.am.
